TEAM HISTORY
In the summer of 1991 the birth of our team became reality when a bunch childhood friends put together a softball team. The original name of out team was the “NO NAMES” and played on Sunday mornings at Miami Lakes Park.
The first season did not fair well as the team did not win any games going 0-12. The second season the “NO NAMES” won two games and through the years the team progressed winning five or more games.
The team finally broke through as it won the Sunday morning league championship 1996 and repeated 1997 as Colonial Press. Since 1997 the team has appeared in many playoff games finishing second and third.
The team played under several names such as NO NAMES,JR. DESIGNS, COLONIAL PRESS,ALL-MED SERVICES,ALL AMERICAN,GRAND BAY HOTEL, DART CONSTRUCTION and BREW CREW. Players have come and gone as of today there still remains six players on the roster from the original 1991 team. Our most popular alumni former major leaguer Ozzie Canseco who played a few games in the mid 90’s.
The team has participated in tournaments and has played games at Miami Lakes Park, Ben Franklin Park, Bucky Dent Park, Palm Springs North and Tropical Park.
Overcoming player turnover and several leagues over the years the BREW CREW team is alive and here to stay.
